Who we are
Key True Consulting was founded on a singular principle: that a modern data infrastructure should be a source of competitive advantage, not a chronic drain on the operating budget. We specialize in transforming uncontrolled, escalating cloud data spend into a lean, reliable corporate asset.
In today's scaling environment, the true costs of poor governance and inefficient compute usage—particularly within Snowflake—are often disguised as necessary growth expenses. We step in as the senior engineering leadership your internal teams are too busy to be, applying disciplined oversight to guarantee measurable financial outcomes.
Our mission is to deliver True Savings and unparalleled platform stability. We provide the Key Optimization strategy necessary to secure your platform's performance, allowing your internal teams to focus on innovation and business growth, not cost firefighting.
Our Core Value Proposition:
Key Optimization. True Savings. Key True Consulting.
Kerri Theriault, Founder
My career has been built at the intersection of complex data architecture and high-stakes business strategy. After years leading data engineering, I founded Key True Consulting to focus on the area where I found the greatest challenge and reward: Optimization and Stability.
I specialize in diagnosing the root causes of platform bloat and instability. For me, optimizing a data environment isn't just about writing efficient SQL—it's about solving a complex financial and technical puzzle that returns immediate, tangible value to the business. I enjoy the process of turning chaotic spending into predictable, high-performing governance models.
Key Technical Excellence:
Cloud Data Warehousing: Deep, hands-on mastery of the Snowflake platform, including cost structures, resource monitors, and advanced query tuning.
Data Transformation: Expert knowledge of the transformation layer, specializing in dbt (Data Build Tool) and complex SQL optimization.
Architecture & Orchestration: Proficient in designing reliable, scalable pipelines utilizing tools like Airflow, Python, and native cloud environments (AWS and GCP).
My personal drive is to ensure that when a decision-maker asks, "Can we trust this data, and what did it cost us?", the answer is simple, clear, and reassuring.
